SUPPORT SHANNON

Last year there were 58 women from across Canada in the Miss Universe Canada Competition. Essentially this is our nation's selection process to send a Canadian Representative to Miss Universe. The events will be held April 18-28th in Toronto, Ontario with the Preliminary Show on April 26th and the Final Show April 28th. Both events will be held at the Winter Garden Theatre.

The process of preparing Shannon to compete at the national level is a very expensive undertaking, which is why we are approaching leading Alberta businesses regarding sponsorship opportunities. It is our goal to create mutually beneficial relationships that will grant local businesses publicity nationally, and subsequently garner Shannon some local support. This way, she will have access to the resources that will help her represent Edmonton and Alberta to the very best of her personal ability. Also, the individuals and companies that sponsor her will receive various levels of advertising, exposure, and personal support they need to help their businesses thrive nationally.

Born and raised an Edmontonian , Shannon feels it is a huge responsibility to represent Edmonton women in the best possible light. It is her intention to show the rest of Canada that Edmonton is a strong business, philanthropic and family orientated community.

Things Shannon will need to fund for the competition are the following:

• Personal Training
• Gym Fees
• Hair and Makeup
• Nails and Body care
• Evening Gowns
• Swimsuit
• Appearance wardrobe (for 10 days of interviews, events, and activities in Toronto)
• Travel to and from Calgary and accomodations for competition training and meetings with the appointed pageant trainers prior to the event
• Travel to and from Toronto for the competition in April
• Zoom Teeth Whitening
• Entry fees to the actual pageant ($2500)
• Shoes and accessories
• Nutrition program
