The ancestors will call you home...
whether you want to go or not.
Kate MacKenzie can’t figure out why people call the Second Sight a gift–it’s ruining her life. Hearing voices and seeing apparitions does not help her social life or assist in the endless deluge of child abuse known as algebra. All Kate wants is to kiss Angus MacCrimmon, see the Dropkick Murphys in concert before they die of old age, and sing in a Ceilidh band. Her mom just wants her to graduate from high school.
When Kate discovers that the dead father she has mourned her entire life is not her biological dad, she isn’t the only one asking questions. Now, Kate MacKenzie must find the courage to travel halfway around the world to her father’s castle in Scotland to use the gifts she despises to save the legacy of a family she’s never met.
Kate must bond with the father she never knew, in a country she’s never seen, where even the hills hide secrets that could destroy her.
